The Auto login documentation has been amended. It incorrectly stated that the PIN was not required.
Applications sent to the test environment are now assigned a random status to allow users to test their implementation of the application status check.
The test environment has recently been rebuilt, previously issued testing user ID and password combinations are now invalid.
If you require continued access to the test environment please request new details from the helpdesk.
Documentation for the Auto login feature has been added.
This will allow you to offer your users the ability to log straight into the Advantage application management website where they can communicate with the underwriters about an application, produce documents, etc.
To clarify the situation for applicants who are housing association tenants, they should be sent with the ResidentialType node set to Council.
The Node word values page has been updated to include this information.
The application status check now returns an additional value.
The new node is Advantage/Financial/CustomerApprovalAmount, the value it returns expresses the amount the customer is approved for.
The returned value is a number, eg. 5500. This number represents pounds (GBP).
For an example see application status check.
You can get the current status of an application by submitting a small piece of XML containing the application id you are returned when first submitting the application.
For more information see application status check.
There is now an extra optional field when specifying customer addresses, called <Flat>. This addition has been made as some applicants will require a flat name or number specified on the consumer credit history check, which will soon be done automatically by the system as soon as the application has been recieved.
For further details, please refer to the XML Structure section of the website.
It has come to our attention that one of the child nodes of the Applicant node has a spelling mistake in it's name.
So please be aware that the required MarritalStatus node needs to be spelt with two r's and not one.
As of today, the live XML/Soap system is "officially" up and working! Yesterday was our first full day for recieving applications over the live system with no problems whatsoever. Many thanks to all involved in developing the system and helping us to test it!
Anyone else who wishes to make use of the system can do so by contacting the Advantage IT Helpdesk on (01472) 586321, or by emailing helpdesk@advantage-finance.co.uk.
The Status childnode of the Employment node now supports a part-time employment status to complement the exisiting full-time, self-employed full-time, self-employed part-time, etc values.
The code word for this new part-time employment status is PT.
For further details see Node Word Values.
The Sent.xml example file has been updated to include the income nodes/childnodes.
The XML Structure > Sent XML page also incorrectly stated that the nodes for the joint income and joint income frequency were JointIncome and JointIncomeFrequency respectively. The correct node names for this information are IncomeJoint and IncomeJointFrequency.
It all seems to be going smoothly. There was a problem with the passwords we were using at first in that it was using characters it probably shouldn't have so all passwords are now made up of just small letters rather than %^'@ etc.
On the plus side though, we've now successfully received test applications from both Andy @ FSUK / Approved and Junyong Mei @ AUF.
Thank you for participating in our beta program for our new XML Soap link.
Hopefully this site has laid out how it's all going to work in a reasonably clear manner.
Any feedback gained during this period will help us to make sure this works solidly in the future.
You can send us feedback either by email or using the bug report form in the support section.
If you're not a part of the program and would like more information please contact it@advantage-finance.co.uk.
